Welcome

On behalf of the Society for Pediatric Sedation and the SPS Education Committee, welcome to our first virtual conference! Although we were disappointed we couldn’t meet face to face this year at our regular Annual Conference in May, we have taken the challenges of this time in stride. We hope you will agree that we have designed a program and meeting format for you, the attendees, that will enhance your procedural sedation knowledge.

In its virtual format, the conference will offer several plenary lectures, eight different tracks of breakout session topics and our ver popular Problem-Based Learning Discussion (PBLD) topics. There will be opportunities for interaction and Q & A through the conference and if you miss a topic, don’t worry! All lectures, breakouts and PBLDs will   be recorded for viewing later. For those interested in research, we have also included oral presentations from among our 2020 submitted abstracts, as well as recorded poster presentations.

As we all navigate through this pandemic, the SPS will continue to bring you high-quality educational opportunities until we have the opportunity to see each other in person.
