How Are We Doing In 2014?

Dr. GoodenBy Cheryl K. Gooden, MD
SPS News Editor

There is exciting news that I want to share with our readers about this issue of SPS News.  You may have noticed that the format of SPS News is new and improved.  This new format will make the newsletter a lot easier to navigate from your computer or smartphone.  The majority of this issue is devoted to the Annual Conference.  A great deal of gratitude goes out to our writers, for their excellent coverage of the presentations at our Conference in Charleston, S.C.  Also, in this issue of SPS News, you will find a preview of our upcoming Annual Conference 2015, taking place in St. Louis, Missouri.  In addition, take a moment to read the messages of our new and past presidents.

Two new section editors have joined the editorial staff of SPS News.  It is with great pleasure that I welcome Shobhit Jain, MD (section editor of the resident and fellow corner) and Lorie Reilly, CRNP (nursing section editor).  Both of them have written excellent articles in this issue and we look forward to many more to come!

Once again, we will continue to provide you with the latest information as it relates to pediatric sedation.  I hope that you enjoy reading this expanded issue of SPS News and as always, you may reach me at with comments or articles that you want to contribute to the newsletter.
